The month of June marks the beginning of summer! The sun is shining brighter, it’s getting a little warmer, and that vacation you’ve been planning is finally here. Welcome summer and welcome to the perfect opportunity to update your wardrobe -your sunglass wardrobe that is!
Most of us view wearing sunglasses as just a fashion statement or as accessorizing.  Wearing sunglasses, however, can also prevent sun damage to your eyes and serves to improve your vision as well.
While choosing which type of sunglass you wear is a matter of style and preference, it is also a matter of health.  By wearing a good pair of sunglasses – one that blocks UVA and UVB sunrays – while you are outdoors you are actually protecting your eyes from these very harmful rays.
Just like there are serious risks if you do not protect your skin from the sun, so too are there risks to your eyes if you do not protect them from the sun.  Cataracts and macular degeneration are two very big reasons to be wearing your sunglasses when you step outside this summer.  Here in south Florida, this is really something to take into consideration all year long.
Many of you might be surprised to know that all children should be wearing sunglasses as well. In fact, because children spend significantly more time outdoors than most adults, some experts say that up to half of a person’s lifetime exposure to UV radiation can occur by age 18. Therefore, it’s never too early for kids to begin wearing good quality sunglasses outdoors.
At iSee VisionCare, we’ve got you covered when it comes to sunglasses that protect and that are fashionable.  Our assortment includes Maui Jim, Costa, Oakley, Ray Ban and many more.
Come check us out!  I am sure you will find something that will fit your style.  You can look glamorous and keep your eyes healthy at the same time.
